Privacy Policy of AndroMeld
AndroMeld is an independent service developed to integrate Android devices natively with macOS Finder, providing seamless file management and device mirroring capabilities.
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our app and website.
1. Information Collection and Use
Important: AndroMeld's core app experience operates locally between your Mac and your Android devices. Local connections transfer files, screen, audio, and clipboard directly between your devices. Remote connections can use an optional relay, which forwards encrypted connection traffic.
AndroMeld accesses device data to provide the features you use, including Finder, mirroring, notifications, clipboard, calls, and camera sharing. USB and local network connections do not require a cloud relay. Remote connection setup uses signaling services; a configured relay can carry encrypted traffic when a direct connection is unavailable.
The Mac app does not require an account for local use. Optional relay service is configured in the Android app using Google sign-in or your own server. Account identity, purchases, and relay usage are described in the Android privacy policy. Mac Pro is purchased through the Mac App Store separately from relay traffic.
When you visit our website, we may collect aggregated website usage data through analytics tools to understand page visits, traffic sources, and general site performance. This website analytics data does not include the contents of your files or your in-app device activity.
2. Device Data Handling
The features provided by AndroMeld require access to certain device capabilities, which are handled strictly under your control:
- Finder Integration: File operations act on your connected Android device. AndroMeld does not provide cloud backup. Remote connections may carry encrypted file traffic through the configured relay.
- Mirroring & Universal Control: Screen and audio are streamed to your connected Mac. Screenshots, screen recordings, and call recordings that you request are saved on the Mac. Camera and microphone access is requested for the features that need it. An MCP client can receive screen and UI data you allow it to request; that client has its own data handling.
3. Third-Party Services
To improve app stability, understand website traffic, deliver fixes, and ensure the best experience, we use the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics for aggregated website traffic and usage measurement
- Firebase Crashlytics
These services collect aggregated analytics events, anonymous crash logs, and non-personally identifiable diagnostic data needed to understand website usage and resolve app crashes. They do not provide us with the contents of your files, mirrored screen data, audio streams, or clipboard content.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Remove local preferences and cache by uninstalling AndroMeld and clearing its application support data. Files and recordings you saved separately remain at their chosen locations. For an optional Android relay account, contact the developer using the address below to request deletion. Uninstalling the Mac app does not delete that account or cancel an App Store subscription.
5. Security
Connections require device authorization. Network connections are authenticated and encrypted. A relay forwards encrypted traffic; it is not a backup service. Only authorize computers, browsers, and AI clients you intend to give access to your phone.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
